Information

Texas is the largest producer of energy in the US, producing over 25% of natural gas production and wind-powered electricity generation. Texas has over 30 petroleum refineries, and is a pioneer in alternative forms of energy such as solar, nuclear, hydrogen and battery power.

Texas employs nearly 1 million energy workers, accounting for over 11% of all energy jobs in the U.S. Workforce training is essential to meet the growing demands of this industry. The state, through its educational institutions, will be investing in educating, training and upskilling workers in all fields that support the energy industry.
