This boom focuses on domestic supply chain resilience, supporting critical national security needs by manufacturing chips for defense systems, alongside automotive and consumer tech. Texas manufacturers are investing billions to expand existing facilities, focusing on advanced FD-SOI tech crucial for defense/aerospace, with DoD collaboration.
Other innovations such as datacenter development, biotechnology research, bitcoin mining, cybersecurity, robotics and AI are building ecosystems in Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Brownsville and Houston.
