Touching the Sun

About me

Natasha Davison is an award-winning broadcast journalist  and documentary filmmaker, producing for PBS, CNN, MetroMedia (Los Angeles), WCVB (Boston), and WSB (Atlanta) . She is co-lead producer for PBS's upcoming "Touching the Sun", a multi-platform project on the science and symbolism of the Sun. Anchored by a feature documentary, "Touching the Sun" also includes a digital series for PBS Digital Studios, lesson plans for PBS LearningMedia, and an outreach and impact campaign bringing STEM to underserved communities. She has also produced content for University of Texas at Austin and Austin-based Nelda Studios, including the  Emmy and Gold Telly-winning docuseries "Muraling Austin" available nationally on PBS and The World Channel.  Natasha is on the producing team for several upcoming feature documentaries, "Conviction of The Heart" on the iconic musician and composer Kenny Loggins and "Beauty isn’t Pretty", the global chase of universal beauty standards and its consequences, and "Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story", on the inconic performer Liza Minelli which premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival in 2024. Other producing projects include the  Broadway productions of "Sunset Blvd", "The Queen of Versailles", and "The Prom" (adapted into Netflix feature film).  She is also a producer of The Museum of Broadway in NYC. Natasha teaches the Business of Entertainment at The University of Texas at Austin.
