She has several Diplomas in subjects like: Internationalization of Local Governments, Ceremonial and Protocol, International Relations and Foreign Affairs from Matias Romero Institute, as well as in Tourism Innovation from the Anahuac University. She developed professionally as the Director of Institutional Relations and Tourism in the City of Monterrey, as well as Citizen Advisor of the Food Bank of “Caritas de Monterrey”. Maricarmen Martínez has more than 12 years of experience in the fields of tourism, inter-institutional relations, public relations, etiquette and protocol, event planning, bilateral agreements and project management in the public and private sector. Currently, she is the head of the Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Nuevo Leon, México, in addition to being in charge of the Office of the General Direction of “Fideicomiso Zaragoza” and the Operator of Touristic Services of Nuevo León
