Information

Texas dominated the chip industry for decades, with Texas Instruments leading the way for other chipmakers to gravitate to the Lone Star State. The US lost its lead in chipmaking - and is now investing heavily in states willing to build fabrication plants to compete for semiconductor manufacturing. Today, Samsung (Austin) and TI (Dallas) are beginning a new wave of suppliers making way to Texas.

Those new plants need infrastructure to support them. The I35 corridor is the artery that delivers information and products from Mexico to our northern border states. Broadband and fiber networks will have to support the Intelligent infrastructure needed to drive autonomous systems, electric vehicles, biotech research, smart real estate, an education system needed to meet the needs of the future.
