As the President and CEO of the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC), Cori Peña offers Texas businesses a deep expertise in modern economic development that balances industrial growth with community quality of life. With over 17 years of experience, she will provide a roadmap for how businesses can thrive in the "new Brownsville," an economy increasingly defined by innovation, aerospace, and small business resilience.

The Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: She oversees the eBridge Center for Business & Commercialization, a major hub that provides mentorship, capital access, and growth resources to help businesses move from initial ideas to scaled operations.
Strategic Growth & Investment: Peña led the development of BCIC's 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, which focuses on small business retention, expansion, and attracting second-stage businesses to the region.
Regional Momentum: She will provide data-driven perspectives on the Rio Grande Valley’s upswing, including significant increases in high-earning households and the impact of the aerospace industry on local growth.
