Heather Massey serves as the Vice President of Communications and Community Relations for Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving the Heart of Texas. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing both external and internal communications, including community and media relations across seven media markets and 105 Texas counties. Originally from Odessa, Texas, Heather has called Austin home since 2021. Her career path reflects a diverse background of leadership and service, including her previous role as a property manager for Haley Properties/ERP Management, where she managed commercial and industrial properties in the Permian Basin. Heather earned her Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and completed her Master's in Mass Communication from Texas Tech University in 2022. Over the years, Heather has been actively involved in various community organizations. She has served on the Midland Education Committee, the Midland Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Team, the Special Olympics Advisory Committee, and the Midland Travel & Tourism Advisory Board. Additionally, she is a past President of Midland Rotary West and past Chair of Leadership Midland. She is also a graduate of the FBI’s Citizens Academy. Outside of her professional life, Heather is an avid Texas Rangers baseball fan who enjoys attending concerts and traveling. She is the proud mother of her son, Robby, who is an assistant golf professional. Heather’s approach to her work and community involvement is guided by a sense of service and a desire to cultivate trust and meaningful connections. Her leadership at BBB exemplifies her dedication to making a positive impact in the communities she serves.
