As DroneUp's Sr Director of Business Development and Hub Solutions, Alex is responsible for drone delivery and aerial insight solutions from DroneUp’s “hubs” or drone airports. Alex works closely with hub operations, flight operations, product, and marketing and manages key account partners such as Walmart.Alex brings experience from both eCommerce and brick-and-mortar retail. Prior to DroneUp, Alex worked for the home services startup Handy (now Angi) in its early years. He then worked at Walmart, where he launched eCommerce services, such as Walmart Tech Solutions and Angi Home Services. Alex was also responsible for launching Walmart in-store experiences, such as Esports Arena, Sunbelt Tool Rental, and new food service concepts. Alex has a bachelor's degree in finance from the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He lives in Bentonville, AR, with his wife Ellen, daughter Jane Oliver, and big dog Frank.
