About me
Amy Betzen is a Vice President in the Office of Government Affairs at Goldman Sachs, based in Dallas, TX. She also serves as the South Regional Director of 10,000 Small Business Voices – an initiative to support the graduates of the firm’s 10,000 Small Businesses program in advocating for policy changes that impact their businesses, their employees, and their communities.
Amy previously worked in the firm’s Office of Corporate Engagement in New York as part of the team that launched and scaled both 10,000 Small Businesses and 10,000 Women, two of the firm’s signature philanthropic programs focused on small business education and growth both domestically and globally.
Between her roles at Goldman Sachs, she received her MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, served as a Project Leader in the Dallas office of the Boston Consulting Group, and managed the operations and ultimate sale of her own family’s small business in the refrigerated warehouse industry.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Amy held several positions within the federal government – serving as a Presidential Appointee at the U.S. Department of State, and working in the Washington, D.C. office of U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. She also served on the 2016 Presidential Transition State Department Agency Action team as part of her work for BCG.
Amy is a native of Dallas and resides there with her husband and two children. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Tocqueville Society and a 2025 Presidential Leadership Scholar.
